The Drina is known as the most beautiful and cleanest mountain river in the Balkans, with numerous populations of noble fish species. Huchen (Danube salmon), grayling, brown trout, and char in the Drina reach maximum sizes, which is characteristic of rivers of exceptional purity. In addition to these species, other fish such as chub, nase, roach, and barbel are also caught in the Drina.
